How to Use FrameTheGlobe
This guide is designed for rapid onboarding and repeatable daily use. It explains how to navigate modes, interpret signals, and operate admin controls safely.
Start Here in 60 Seconds
- Use COMMAND for the full desk: center feed, intel timeline (left), Flash signals (right).
- On narrow screens, use the Flash button in the bottom bar to jump to the signals rail.
- Use WAR PREMIUM for macro impact and cost-tracking context.
- Hit Refresh when you need an immediate pull outside normal polling.
Core Navigation
- Top mode toggle switches between COMMAND and WAR PREMIUM.
- Flash briefing stays on the right rail whenever you are in COMMAND.
- Source and lens controls in the main column narrow the live feed.
- Lens/filter chips focus stories by theme (e.g. nuclear, oil, maritime).
- Live status + UTC clock provide mission-time context for operators.
Intelligence Search
- The command desk search panel queries the same in-memory news cache as the live feed (not the open web).
- Results are ranked with a deterministic scorer (trust, feed relevance, phrase signals); each row can show why it ranked.
- Optional interpret summarizes a few top hits with the AI router; rate limits apply.
- Press / to focus search from the keyboard.
Reading Signals Effectively
- Prioritize clustered headlines corroborated by multiple sources.
- Use timestamp recency and source diversity together, not in isolation.
- Open Intel Brief on critical headlines for fast context before deep read.
- Treat single-source anomalies as provisional until corroborated.
AI Features
- AI Briefing in header generates top-level analytic context on demand.
- Article Intel Brief gives per-headline short-form analysis.
- If AI providers are unavailable, deterministic fallback remains available.
- Admin can reorder providers and clear pauses from /admin.
Admin Guide (Authorized Users)
- Access /admin using normal login + admin authorization.
- Admin access is granted by DB role ADMIN or ADMIN_EMAILS allowlist.
- Manage feed overrides, AI runtime config, cache clears, and user roles.
- Use controls intentionally; high-frequency actions are rate-limited.
